Letters
I love that we live in such a technologically advanced world, but there's one thing I think we are missing out on because of convenience. To me, there's nothing better than a hand-written letter from someone you love. It may be a bit Jane Austen old fashioned, but I love the intimacy and grace of words on paper. I have saved every letter my grandfather has written me and I have one from my brother and another from his wife that I often read. I enjoy going back over the words and what they meant in that season of my life and how they still encourage me now. This weekend I received a love letter of sorts for the first time in ten years or so and it was possibly the best impression this guy could have made. I think instead of blogging about it, I have some letters of my own to write.

To blog or not to blog...
We live in a selfish society-one that thinks it's necessary to create a website to post random thoughts, mostly about ourselves, that our friends are forced to read or else we will bother them with the question "have you read my blog yet?". So, I am composing my own blog in order to set the example for blog authors around the world. In my blog you will find enlightened and profound discussions on such topics as death, music, philosphy, and of course the meaning of life. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. By the way, I'm totally kidding. I love all of your blogs and don't plan on getting too (notice the spelling, Erik) serious with this.
